If you search for best blogs for academicians online, you will find many web pages that write academic blogs intend to enhance educational learning and create an opportunity for personal growth and peer-to-peer interactions.

Blogs and blogging are an important medium for communication. Recently, the academic community has attached a great significance to blogging, as a medium for discussing and learning that affects the universities sector.

Surfing through the internet, you may find dozens of online web pages that write blogs and special posts for only a special group of people. For example, those pages which write academic blogs intend to enhance educational learning and create an opportunity for personal growth and peer-to-peer interactions.

Do you want to discover what’s new in the world of scholarly publishing or learn what researchers think about particular areas of academia? Academic blogs are a great form of online engagement.

In this post you will be provided with a list of ten best blogs for academicians to get relevant information:

1. The Thesis Whisperer

The thesis whisperer is a newspaper-style blog dedicated to helping Ph.D. students finish their thesis or dissertation. It provides a helpful review section for PhD-themed books and the opportunity to writing and presenting your work. It is managed and edited by Associate Professor Inger Mewburn, Director of Research Training at the Australian National University. This web page publishes a new post on the last Wednesday of every month.

2. The Research Whisperer

The Research Whisperer is dedicated to the topic of doing research in academia. It is not a ‘how to’ guide to doing research, but it shares strategies and practical tips and techniques that work for us. It stimulates conversations, so its posts will be opinionated, hopefully constructive, and occasionally exploratory.

3. Writing for Research

As one of the best blogs for academicians, this academic blog aims to help you master writing creative non-fiction at a research level.

4. Patter

Patter is Pat Thomson, Professor of Education in the School of Education, The University of Nottingham. Her research is centred primarily on how schools might change to be more engaging and meaningful for more children and young people. She mostly researches the arts, creativity and other kinds of experiential approaches in school and community settings, including galleries and museums. Much of this research has been conducted with my colleague Professor Christine Hall.

5. Get a Life, PhD

This blog is packed with tips and practical step-by-step advice provided by Tanya Golash-Boza for various aspects of the writing and publishing process.

6. Piled Higher and Deeper

Piled Higher and Deeper (also known as Ph.D. Comics), is a newspaper and webcomic strip written and drawn by Jorge Cham that follows the lives of several grad students. First published in 1997 when Cham was a grad student himself at Stanford University, the strip deals with issues of life in graduate school, including the difficulties of scientific research, the perils of procrastination, and the complex student-supervisor relationship.
