Information technology(IT) has become a ruling means of communication in both personal and professional life. Information technology(IT) has become a ruling means of communication in both personal and professional life. This popularity can be noticed through widespread use of IT-based technologies and infrastructures like general software and internet.

This advancement also includes an enormous growth in social media and networks that shape different types of interactions. A simple proof that technology has become an integrated feature of daily life, is the time we spend in the workplace and social networks using technology-based devices.  The influence of IT in the learning process has also been considered a crucial issue recently. As the need for virtual learning was raised more seriously in the wake of the pandemic.

These alternative forms of social interaction and learning are on their way to be the dominant side of everyday communications. The new IT-based platforms have serval benefits in the professions and businesses too. So pioneering institutes and companies have launched strategic programs that highlight the opportunities that IT and technology create. It provides a dynamic, flexible, and collaborating base for working and sharing experiences.

Job seekers can also have a wide range of accessibility to the employees through websites and social media. IT also creates a good context for companies as it eases the accessibility to the potential workforce.

But there are still some potential challenges in using IT-based opportunities as these virtual platforms are being affected by security problems and inappropriate usage. Broder challenges in this field are often associated with data security may become intensified because of the probability of the accidental leakage of personal and work-related information.

Despite the negative aspect of the IT-based platforms, these platforms have turned into the most prominent features of daily life.

IT-based platforms have been becoming more widespread in all areas of personal and work-life, hence, it is so difficult to imagine a workplace without computers and IT infrastructures and software.

In the world today, progress in information technology has elevated and expanded organizational capabilities and capacities. The expansive change that has resulted from taking advantage of IT in work environments and organizations has enhanced the level of performance and transparency and flexibility in all organizational sectors. Current research indicates that the use of IT has increased the efficiency of organizations and their workforce. IT has also enhanced the quality of services and products leading to more satisfaction for all parties involved.

IT also helps in the process of decision-making and makes workforce participation in the process possible. We can say that IT is even a partner in enterprises and organizations as it provides managers with valuable information and enhances organizational capabilities. The expansion of online platforms and software has engaged the manager’s attention everywhere. Utilizing the capabilities provided by IT creates new opportunities for them as well. In short, IT has become part and parcel of what is required for enhancing capabilities in competing markets. It is necessary that in all organizational and strategic plans managers pay close and serious attention to ITS and invest in their expansion and thorough utilization.

On the other, using IT to enhance the productivity and competency needs skilled workforce requires appropriate training. To boost up the value that IT creates, supporting the learning system of the workforce and keeping them updated and connected to the IT advancements is imperative. If the workforce feels supported and connected to IT-related activities, their engagement in the work process will be more considerable. The engagement of employees is an obvious indicator of a successful implementation of IT-related policies within the organizations.

Finally, the IT-based business process should be planned and managed based on the unique needs and preferences of each organization. the managers and policymakers need to take actions that pave the way towards better recognition of the opportunities IT creates for the organization
