The world is changing rapidly. When competition becomes global, the environment gets uncertain. Globalization is one important change affecting the environment of all corporations.

Globalization here means developing new attitudes about relations with people in other countries and paying attention to the extent, form, and complexity of relationships among corporations throughout the world.

To prepare for confronting this uncertain environment and the constant changes, leaders are required. Evidently, traditional leadership will not remain in the third millennium. The world needs leaders leading change. Leaders of change are required for change. Their impact on change is far beyond what is usually perceived. They can help people win in uncertain circumstances.

The leaders who rely on their unique ideas bring about competitive advantages for the corporations. In the modern age, leaders as teachers, designers, and promoters must be replaced constantly and create a new identity. They must adapt themselves to the changing circumstances, forget the past, and design new roles and relations for themselves. They must be able to employ new work teams and interest groups and utilize new managerial styles in their units. Leaders’ focus in the new age will be on social and intellectual capital, as well as ideal organizational designs and change. In the rapidly changing world, future leadership will appear as the crucial component of the enterprise. Its supply will be short and more desired than anything else. It can be said that the main role of the leaders is to train new leaders for the organization and develop the necessary managerial leadership for change in the organization.
