Perhaps when it comes to scientific award, the Nobel Prize and the Fields Prize have garnered more attention, but there are some older and more prominent awards in science and technology that have been less known for others and are actually ignored.
The Nobel Prize, although the most famous and prestigious prize in the world of science, is not the only prize. There are other awards, some of which are no less prestigious than Nobel in their respective fields.
Named for Alan Mathison Turing, an English pioneer in computers and artificial intelligence, Turing Award, in full A.M. Turing Award is given to one or more individuals “selected for contributions of a technical nature made to the computing community.”
