NTELT 2020 – 8th Conference on New Trends in English Language Teaching and Testing

The Canadian Institute for Knowledge Development (CIKD) is pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the 8th International NTELT Conference on New Trends in English Language Teaching and Testing in October 2020.

 

Due to the global situation with COVID-19 the conference will be held online.

Keynote Speakers:

Paul Nation, Emeritus Professor of Applied Linguistics in the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, author of many books regarding English as a foreign language.

Jean-Marc Dewaele, Professor of Applied Linguistics and Multilingualism at Birkbeck, University of London, h-index: 59.

Alessandro Benati, Director of CAES at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), h-index: 18.

 

Publishing Opportunities:

Presented abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings. The authors will be informed about the success of their submission in 7 days.

After an article has passed the initial acceptance criteria, it becomes qualified for being presented in the conference and published in the proceedings. The accepted articles are then sent to double-blind peer reviewers in relevant areas of expertise and if approved, they will be offered different opportunities and facilitation, including fast-tracking by CIKD, for publishing in the following journals:

 

  • Innovation in Language Learning and Teaching (Abstracted and Indexed in Scopus and Thomson Reuters-ESCI)
  • International Journal of Applied Linguistics and English Literature (Abstracted and Indexed in Google Scholar and Index Copernicus)
  • Advances in Language and Literary Studies (Abstracted and Indexed in Google Scholar and Index Copernicus)

Submission of an article to different conferences held by CIKD does not necessarily mean publishing that article in the journals mentioned in the publication opportunity section of the event. However, they can be published based on the aim and scope of the journals and the papers’ quality (design, methodology, analysis, discussion, language, and style). 

The abstracts submission will stay open until Sep 18th, 2020. Late submissions will not be accepted.
