Mete Gündoğan
Professor, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University
Mete Gündoğan was born in 1963 in Balıkesir – Dursunbey.
He completed his primary and high school education in Ayvalık.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Dokuz Eylül University, he started his graduate studies at Middle East Technical University. During his thesis, he went to England to evaluate the scholarship he had received from the British Council. He completed his Master of Science (1990) studies in Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Cranfield Institute of Technology.
He received his Ph.D. (1995) in the field of Industrial and Production Systems Engineering at Cranfield University in England.
He received his associate professorship in 2000. He worked at Balıkesir University, Hacettepe University (part-time), Police Academy (part-time), International Sarajevo University and Bartin University.
In addition to his academic studies, Dr. Gündoğan,
The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) Research and Development research engineer at the Planning Department and also worked as a manager for a while.
Specialist in Science and Technology Sector at State Planning Organization (SPO),
Prime Ministry Counselor and
He worked as an advisor in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
He completed the 20th Term Public Diplomacy Course at the Secretariat General of the National Security Council.
Within the framework of various industry studies and experiences,
He worked as Quality Assurance Systems Chief Engineer at Akıncı F-16 Aircraft Factory (TAI).
He worked as an engineer in the “Computer-Aided Maintenance Management System” project in Ford Motor Factories in Europe (Cologne-Germany, Genk-Belgium, Valencia-Spain, Bordeaux-France, and Dagenham-England).
He is also a senior executive and consultant in the private sector. Gündoğan carried out the commissioning projects of many factories in the Balkans and in our country that were privatized.
He is married and has four children. Dr. Gündoğan speaks English and French as well as a limited degree of Dutch, Bosnian and Arabic.
He has many international and national publications. Dr. Mete Gündoğan’s academic interests are:
System Analysis and Design, Production Management Systems, Production Planning and Control, Technology Management, Quality Assurance, Total Quality Management, Maintenance / Repair Planning and Management, Engineering Economics, Cost Analysis and Accounting and Economics (Micro and Macro).
