Professor Dr. Orhan Torkul is Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Sakarya University and Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at Sakarya University. Between 2011 and 2014, he served as the Head of the Department. He received his bachelor’s degree from Istanbul Technical University, Sakarya Engineering Faculty, Department of Industrial Engineering, his master’s degree from Yıldız Technical University, Institute of Science, Department of Industrial Engineering, and his Ph.D. degree from Cranfield Institute of Technology, UK. He has conducted research and studies in the fields of manufacturing planning and control, management information systems and distance education. There are articles in many journals, proceedings in national and international conferences and book chapters. He has participated in many national and international conferences and symposiums. He has also participated in numerous conferences, scientific meetings, and workshops as an invited speaker.
