Prof. Dr. Turan Paksoy received his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Gazi
University, M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Production
Management from Selçuk University in 2004. He received the Associate’s degree in
Production Management in 2008 from the National Academic Council of Turkey. In 2015, he was
promoted to full professor. Dr. Paksoy has been worked as a faculty member at Selcuk
University, Department of Industrial Engineering, since 1998 and he currently keeps his
position. Dr. Paksoy attended London Kingston University as a visiting the professor during the
term August-September 2015.
Dr. Paksoy has over 150 published papers (about 30 papers in SCI-indexed journals). His
papers appear frequently at reputable and internationally recognized journals such as
Computers and Industrial Engineering, European Journal of Operational Research,
Transportation Research, International Journal of Production Research. His academic studies
have been cited about 450 times in SCI journals.
Dr. Paksoy current academic interest includes Lean Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain
Management, and Fuzzy Decision Making.
