I am a Professor of Management Information Systems and Decision Sciences and the Lindback Distinguished Chair of Information Systems at La Salle University where I served as Chairman of the Management Department and Director of the Center for Technology and Management. I have been a Distinguished NASA Research Fellow in Aeronautics and Space Research at the Kennedy Space Center developing group decision support systems for future manned spaceflight operations. I have also been a Distinguished NASA Research Fellow in Mission Control Center at the Johnson Space Center developing decision support systems for the human exploration of Mars, integrated spacecraft command and control systems, real-time intelligent systems, automated flight control systems for the International Space Station, and benchmarking systems for global warming. I have also been a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Air Force Research Laboratory developing network-centric command and control systems and a Distinguished Research Fellow in the Office of Naval Research at the Stennis Space Center developing mission planning and benchmarking systems.  I was recently honored with the prestigious Space Act Award by NASA.

I have been a Visiting Scholar at the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA. I am a Senior Lecturer in the Graduate School of Management at Rutgers University and a regular Visiting Professor at the Universität Paderborn in Germany and Ecole Supérieure de Commerce Et Management in France.  I have also been a Visiting Professor at the Lviv Institute of Management in Ukraine, Hansung University in Korea, Basel Business College in Switzerland, Universidad de las Américas and Universidad De La Salle in Mexico. I received my M.B.A. in Management Information Systems and Management Science from La Salle University and a Post-Master of Information Systems in Information Systems Design and Evaluation from Drexel University. I completed my doctoral coursework in Systems Sciences at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania under Professor Russell Ackoff and received my Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the American University in London. I also received a Post-Doctoral Diploma in Strategic Decision Support Systems from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. My research interests are in Decision Support Systems, Multi-Criteria Decision Making, Decision Sciences, Systems Analysis and Design, Operations Research and Supply Chain Management.

I have also been a consultant to several government agencies and corporations including NASA, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, ITT Defense Communication Systems, and Crown Cork and Seal. I am the President of Alpha Iota Delta International Honor Society for Decision Sciences and Information Systems.  I am the Editor-in-Chief for three international journals including the International Journal of Applied Decision Sciences, the International Journal of Strategic Decision Sciences, and the International Journal of Enterprise Information Systems. I have published over seventy scholarly research papers in academic journals such as Decision Sciences, Interfaces, Information Systems, Annals of Operations Research, Information and Management, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Computers and Operations Research, Omega, Expert Systems with Applications, Knowledge Management Research and Practice, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Applied Soft Computing, Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, and Advances in Engineering Software, among others.
